BANAUE RICE TERRACES 

The terraces is 2,000-year-old terraces that were carved into the mountains of Ifugao in the Philippines by ancestors of the indigenous people. The Rice Terraces are commonly referred to as the "Eigth Wonder of the World". It is commonly thought that the terraces were built with minimal equipment, largely by hand. The terraces are located approximately 1500 meters (5000 ft.) above sea level. They are fed by an ancient irrigation system from the rainforests above the terraces. It is said that if the steps were put end to end, it would encircle half the globe.

LUMIANG CAVE

This cave have a hundred coffins that have been there for about 500 years. The coffins were positioned at the mouth of the cave for the belief that light coming in will protect the soul of the deceased from bad spirits. It is noticeable that the coffins are small for a full grown adult because the corpses are placed in fetal position liked in the womb, believing that they should leave the world in the same position as they entered it.

Sumaguing Cave

Has the largest chambers among all the caves in Sagada that is why it is famously called “The Big Cave” and houses a lot of amazing rock formations including the King’s curtain and the Porn Caves.
